A r t i s t . . .
As an artist, my only formal training was an A* at GCSE! However, I have been drawing horses for as long as I can remember. Recently I ventured into drawing dogs, and have found them to be as enjoyable subjects as horses!
I work mainly in pencil sketches and oils, though my early paintings were done entirely in Acrylic.
I aim to capture the character of every individual animal, but always maintaining an 'arty' quality about the work, rather than a photographic style.

M u s i c i a n . . .
I began playing music at a young age, but it wasn't until my mid-teens when I developed an interest in traditional music.
I was later accepted onto the BA in Irish Music and Dance at the University of Limerick, where I became a founder member of international act, 'The Outside Track'. I left the 'Track in 2008 to pursue a solo career, and recorded my debut solo album, entitled 'The Lark's March' that autumn. I graduated from the BA with first class honours, then went on to complete a MA in Irish Music Performance - also graduating with first class honours - this time focussing on my piano playing. I am currently working on a research PhD at Queen's University, Belfast.
I have also toured as a guest musician with the fantastic German-based Irish band, 'Cara'. I have appeared at many festivals around the world such as Sidmouth and Whitby Folk Festivals, Milwaukee and Kansas Irish Fests and have taught at various residential schools such as Le Bono Winter School in Brittany and the East Clare Fiddle Festival.
My most recent project is the exciting new band, THE STRIDE SET.
